Recycling Report
Meeting with Ms. Cooper
How many green recycling bins? In classrooms, how many have them?
Buy the ones we need, one/classroom
Kayla has a list, do we need to update? Needs number by tomorrow
One blue recycling bin/ 3 classrooms
Posters- Salma will make: "Recycle please", "This is trash bin", "This is for paper"
Start by April 3rd à the bins need to be in by then
Talk to faculty on April 7th at after school conference
Janitors will manage with clear bags
April 3rdà talk to homerooms about it, recruit Cabinet, Arista members = 80 homerooms
Need people to sort trash out
Ola will write what people will say by tomorrow for homeroom visits
Miranda will talk to ms. Paolercio

Start Recycling next week
1 We can start it this year, and then improve it and continue it next year to see what does and doesn’t work
2 The Janitor doesn’t want us to do too much
oThey will provide clear bags
o4000$ were spent on bins this year.
oWe need to talk to them again more specifically.
3 Bin surveys need to be finished by Tuesday
4 We need to spend the 6000$ before vacation.
oDr. Mankiewicz will bring in catalogs for ways to spend money.
oWe bought some landscaping for the school gardenàshould we also get a hose?
§Ideally we could go all out, like get benches, chairs. Make it a destination.
oWe spent some money on the Earth Balloon, and helium

§Perhaps we can make arm bands, like Livestrong bands.
5 Kayla needs a group for Golden Apple Awards

6 For Earthday, are we having a henna table?
